Surfing Limerick

This is a poster design I had to do for my Advanced Typography class. We were only allowed to use 4 colors that she assigned us plus one more we got to choose. She also let us use the white of the paper as a color. There's some things that need adjusting still. Needless to say she wasn't too impressed. But then again she's quite hard to please.

More Bruin Bash

Here's a concept poster in the works for the teaser poster for the event. It's meant to look Comic Book-esque.

Bruin Bash Hot Rod style

I've been asked to illustrate comic-esque illustrations for posters for the upcoming Bruin Bash event at SLCC. The goal is to make the bear have a comic book feel while referencing events that take place in the movie "Hot Rod." It's been fun to collaborate and mix ideas and see the progress of the character. I'll post the finished products upon completion. Enjoy!

Academy House Art Show

I had the opportunity to go to an Art Show/party down in Provo on Friday. It was put on by a couple guys that rent a house they call The Academy House. Rex Jensen, a missionary I became friends with in Temecula, extended the invite to me to come post some work. They had about 4 artists that came and showed their work as well. It was a fun way to mix 'n mingle and enjoy art. Here are two photos from the event:

R O B O T S

In my Advanced Illustrator class we're making calendars. I've chosen to do mine on robots. So here are a few of my roughs I came up with. [my Wall-E robot was all from memory. I'm in love with that movie]

A few charcoals from one of my figure drawing classes

I was going through my stack of large drawing pads looking for some unused pages and came across some of my old figure stuff. So I thought I'd post a few of my favorites.

First Post!

I've had this blog now for well over a year and haven't posted once. So here it goes. Thought I'd start off with a few pieces from my Moleskine sketchbook.
